Flourish

For the Flourish collection, Caroline drew inspiration from flowers and women. Pastel shades take center stage in most of the paintings in this collection. The paintings were photographed in Dutch flower fields and with flowers. The women are portrayed partially abstract and partially realistically. The clothing flows seamlessly into the flowers. In the background of each painting, you can see straight lines in various shades of color. In all the paintings, you can see details of paint splatters.

This collection is called “Strength.” Here, the influence of the catwalk is clearly visible. All the women have almost the same pose. It is a collection where the challenge lay in creating completely different women in different colors, from just black and white to very colorful. They all stand strong in life and don’t let anyone tell them what to do. Power is what binds these women together. In all the paintings, you can see details of paint splatters, metallic spray paint, and gold or silver leaf.
