Inspired by Paris

Before a trip to Paris, Caroline designed two paintings of women. These women are dressed in the colors of the French flag. Colors speak and carry meaning. Seeing a country’s identity reflected in a painting adds extra significance. Since she enjoys photographing her paintings outdoors, Caroline also photographed them in Paris.The artworks are called ‘Seine’ and ‘Louvre”.

BLUEZ

In the Line BlueZ, Caroline has chosen to work with a variety of blue shades. The approach for these paintings involves a limited color palette. The paintings are predominantly abstract with a touch of realism. You can partially see the women, but not entirely. These paintings stimulate the imagination, and their contradictions are meant to spark your interest.

All paintings have the same size, which is 70 cm by 70 cm. For the additional effects, fluorescent paint, metallic spray paint, and thick lines of paint were used.

SELFIE

For the painting ‘Selfie,’ the woman’s pose with her mobile phone is the central focus. She hopes for a beautiful selfie, seeking happiness. To represent the element of luck, a subtle use of the four-leaf clover was chosen. You can see this in the earring and on her phone. As for the phone, only its silhouette is visible.

YOUR LIGHT

Being pregnant is beautiful. Your child brings happiness and light. The painting depicts an abstract pregnant woman, expecting her light. The transparent lines around her belly and breasts show that her body is beautifully growing. Her eyes are pink, her earring is a heart. She looks forward to the time with her baby.

GROUNDED

In life, you must keep both feet on the ground. You see a woman with both legs, bare feet on the ground. She looks serious, and she is relaxed. A down-to-earth woman in the prime of her life.

In this painting, you see a young woman getting ready to go out. She’s putting on her tall red heels for this. The shoes are partially visible and painted abstractly. She’s eager to go out and meet people, she looks somewhat dreamy, is she in love?

PURE

The Pure line is created in various shades of green. The beautiful green colors from nature inspired the use of color. The poses of the women are genuine. Sincerity is paramount. Authenticity and femininity. PURE is what this line had to be called. And the best location to photograph these works was indeed in nature.
